WAIGC - Italian Golf Challenge Cup (IGCC)
The Italian Golf Challenge Cup is proudly sponsored by 24k Wealth.
Each year in October, 28 members are selected to travel interstate to represent the WAIGC in the annual Italian Golf Challenge Cup (previously the Festival City Challenge Cup). This is a national competition involving all Italian golf clubs from around Australia.
Since joining the competition in 2016, the WAIGC has performed remarkably well thanks to the skill and determination of the members that have participated in past years.
WAIGC have won the Cup in 2019 in Perth, the first time the cup was hosted in Western Australia. In 2020 and 2021 the competitions were cancelled due to COVID. Then in 2022 in Adelaide, 2023 in Melbourne and 2024 in Sydney WAIGC were the victors once again.
This year the IGCC will be held in Queensland from 11 to 13 October 2025.

- Sunday 12th October – Nudgee Golf Club
- Monday 13th October – Royal QLD Golf Club
- Note the use of MiScore is compulsory for all players.
Social events
- Saturday afternoon – Captains and Presidents meeting at 3.00 pm with location TBA
- Saturday evening (6.30 pm to 9.30 pm) – Welcome friends and guests on the Leisure Deck with a cocktail dinner, drinks and food stations.
- Sunday afternoon (12.00 noon to 3.00 pm) – Ladies Cocktail lunch and games. Short, relaxing ferry ride on the Brisbane River from Star Casino to the Bougainvillaea House at the iconic Howard Smith Wharves (and return). Drinks, ferry rides and prizes are all-inclusive.
- Sunday evening – Free
- Monday evening (6.30 pm to 11.30 pm) – Pre-dinner drinks and Presentation Gala Dinner (sit-down at 7.00 pm) in the Ascot Room (Ballroom A) of the Star Casino.
